AIDS Walk Founders Concert to be held Sept. 28

SAN DIEGO, California -- As part of this year's 25th anniversary AIDS Walk San Diego weekend, the first-ever Concert For Life will take place at Heat Bar & Kitchen on Sunday, Sept. 28 from 5:30-8:30 pm.

Produced by Susan Jester, who founded the first Walk for Life in 1985 (which eventually became known as AIDS Walk), the event will feature three hours of live music featuring Tori Roze and The Hot Mess, Roman Palacio Group, and the Manny Cepeda Trio.

Jester invites the community to join her for the concert fundraiser and enjoy the afternoon of hip hop jazz, cabaret, opera and Bomba music on Heat’s outdoor patio.

Tickets are available for $35 online in advance or $40 at the door and include live music and one free drink. A cash bar will be available with drink specials throughout the event and a "small plate" menu available.

All proceeds will benefit AIDS Walk San Diego 2014. The event is sponsored by SUDBERRY Properties and Heat Bar & Kitchen.

AIDS Walk San Diego is schedule for Saturday, Sept. 27. Additional information is HERE.

Heat Bar & Kitchen is located at 3797 Park Blvd., on the border with North Park and Hillcrest. The patio is dog-friendly.
