These Australian firefighters do more than just rescue people from burning buildings, they also rescue animals who have no home.

The men of the 2017 Firefighters Calendar Australia are gearing up to release their highly popular yearly pin-up and are giving Facebook members a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the photoshoot.

This charity fundraiser helps raise money for Children’s Hospital Foundation, Westmead Children’s Hospital burn unit and the Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

This catalogue of rugged men was first started in 1993, and has become one of the most popular fundraising campaigns in Australia, bringing in over $1.3 million in the last 22 years.

Of course their work in raising money for burn victims is the most important aspect of the charity, but we can’t help but feel the juxtaposition of baby animals against the backdrop of their strapping physiques is a definite plus.
