The event benefits San Diego's HIV and AIDS community
The popularity of The Red Dress Party San Diego rises every year, already over 90-percent of this year's tickets have been sold.
Last year, the Red Dress event raised $20,000 to benefit San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative (SDHFC), a group established in 1990 help bring awareness and support to the San Diego HIV and AIDS community through education and fundraising.
The theme this year is Rouge, so start getting ready to find that perfect dress that's going to make the whole room stop and stare.
Organizers say they want to beat last year's total and by the looks of ticket sales, they seem to be getting a head start.
"Our first year we were able to make a $8,000 donation to our event beneficiary, the San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative; last year we more than doubled it with a $20,000 donation," they say on the Red dress event website. "This year, we want to bring in more than ever before (combined!) with an astonishing $30,000 donation to benefit the local HIV/AIDS community. Here are ways you can help get us to our goal."
The Red Dress Party San Diego is on September 30, 2017 at the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park. The event starts at 7:30 pm.
The Natural History Museum is located at 1788 El Prado San Diego, 92101.
