The annual fundraiser invites everyone to enjoy cuisine for a cause.
The annual fundraiser Dining Out for Life San Diego is something the whole community gets involved with and every year some very special people get away from their day jobs to help restaurants in different hospitality roles.
Last year Mayor Kevin Faulconer served dessert to diners at the Adams Avenue Grill, but this year it's Mrs. Faulconer who will carry out the plates.
On Thursday, April 26, the first lady of San Diego will take orders and serve tables at Ortega’s from noon to 2 pm. She will be joined by other high-profile community members.
Consul General of Mexico Marcelo Celorio will help with server duties while Rev. Penny Bridges Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral will do the bussing.
This event will be hosted by the Mayor of Hillcrest Nicole Murray Ramirez.
Each year, Dining Out For Life® brings out thousands of people to dine at some of San Diego’s best restaurants and bars which have agreed to donate 25 percent or more of their food and liquor sales on that day in support of HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs at The Center.
