THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE BOB FILNER FOR MAYOR CAMPAIGN
Yesterday State Senator and Congressional Candidate Juan Vargas endorsed Congressman and Mayoral Candidate Bob Filner for Mayor of San Diego.
"We are working together and if Juan and I can work together we all can work together. This election is too important to our economy, our middle class, our environment. Our destiny as a city and a nation depends on the kind of Congressman Juan will be and the kind of Mayor I will be," said Bob Filner.
"The reality is we are all united around you (Bob Filner). We face a lot of problems in the city and that requires someone like you to step in and do that work. We have a lot of faith in you and I think you will make a terrific Mayor," said Juan Vargas.
Vargas made his announcement at Imperial Avenue and 25th Street in front of the San Diego Police Station. Vargas pointed out that police station would not have been built without the efforts of Filner and his longstanding service to the city.
