SD Pride asks people to keep making change in the community by voting

I hope you will join us in these voter engagement efforts this year as we Persist with Pride.

In a letter sent out to San Diego media organizations, San Diego Pride congratulated Sen. Toni Atkins on Thursday for making history as not only the first woman to become California State Senate president pro tempore, but the first lesbian to do so.

A black girl's take on 'A Wrinkle in Time'

What is unjustified are the racist critiques about using a young black female actress to depict a universal theme about the messy complications, frustrations, and uncertainty about girlhood.

"A Wrinkle in Time" was a must-see film for me. And, a must- see flick worldly different from dashing out to see “Black Panther.”  It doesn’t mean, however, Ava Duvernay’s $100 million dollar film with a multicultural cast isn’t without problems. Honoring Mildred Loving this Valentine’s Day

She was in both interracial and same-sex marriages in this country.

For Black History Month on Valentine’s Day 2018, I’m showing my love for Mildred Loving (1942-2008).

She’s often overlooked in the pantheon of African American trailblazers celebrated in February.

Pimping King at the Super Bowl

Super Bowl ad preyed on racial and ethnic stereotypes in its attempt to expand the brand to a multicultural consumer base.

With 2018 being the 50th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, commemorations honoring the man will be taking place across the country.
