Faulconer vows to continue protecting taxpayers following Supreme Court decision

Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer issues statement on Supreme Court decision for pension reform.

Following the California Supreme Court decision to send the matter of Proposition B, the pension reform initiative approved by 66 percent of voters in 2012, back to the Court of Appeal for further proceedings and to defer to a previous ruling by the Public Employment Relations Board, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer issued the following statement:

Classics like George Orwell’s “1984”, Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World,” Sinclair Lewis’s “It Can’t Happen Here,” and my favorite, Margaret Atwood’s “Handmaid’s Tale,” a drama web television hit on “Hulu” are now all horrifyingly prescient.

City of San Diego to install hundreds of bike racks citywide

The City of San Diego was recently named a “Bike Friendly Community” by The League of American Bicyclists.

In its continuing effort to promote alternative transportation and improve bicycle infrastructure, the City of San Diego today announced plans to install hundreds of bicycle racks in neighborhoods citywide.
