(SAN DIEGO) Internationally renowned Australian group The Ten Tenors will bring holiday cheer to the SD Civic Theatre when they return to San Diego December 8 -13th. The Ten Tenors "Holiday" will feature their best-loved songs from their new album Nostalgica as well as holiday classics. Nostalgica, their 8th studio album, set out to capture the intimacy of live performances, while also invoking nostalgic memories of people, places or times in history. The songs range from Mexican best-sellers to post-war classics to jazz; including hits like Granada, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Louis Armstrong’s classic, What a Wonderful World and their most requested song, Irish favorite, Danny Boy, and Besame Mucho.
The group has come a long way since their humble beginnings as university students at Queensland Conservatorium of Music. What began as performances for extra pocket money has become one of the most successful worldwide touring acts today, averaging 250 international concerts each year.
Currently featured are Tenors Dion Molinas, Tod Strike, Benjamin Clark, Jeff Teale, Graham Foote, Steven Snowden, Dominic Smith, Stewart Morris, Boyd Owen and Luke Kennedy. All of the tenors were recently in town doing advance press following their appearance on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in Las Vegas; and made several appearances in conjunction with their KPBS-TV special “Here’s To The Heroes”.
