New Year's Eve is this Saturday night!

Thus it’s time once again for my annual guide to all the local gay year-end festivities we have coming up this weekend:

New Year's Eve in San Diego

Then we have New Year's Eve on Saturday . . . the big night! As you can see, there’s a whole lot of parties going on, all over town, so your options are plentiful:

New Year's for industry

And there's a couple more New Year's parties actually happening after New Year's: Eden will be open at 5 am Sunday, New Year's Day for its Resolutions 2012 New Year's Day party. And on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 9 pm Urban Mo's will be having an Industry and Friends New Year's Party. Both events are aimed at catering to those here in the bar service industry who will be working on New Year's Eve, giving them a well-deserved chance to celebrate as well!

New Year's in LA and Palm Springs

It's not too late to plan a road trip to the big NYE parties happening in LA or Palm Springs either!

Brett Henrichsen's Masterbeat NYE 2012 will be Saturday night at the Hollywood Palladium, and over 4,000 boys are expected to be in attendance. While the Riviera Hotel will be the scene for promoter Jeffrey Sanker's Desert Maneuvers Palm Springs.

I know of huge groups of San Diego boys who will be en route to one of those destinations, so you'll find familiar and friendly faces at both festivities.

Speaking for myself . . . I've decided to head north to LA for the Masterbeat party at the Palladium for New Year's Eve. I'll be there with several good friends from San Diego, including Walter Orlando, Russell Bui, Brian Patrick, Ray Trujillo, Matt Frost and others, along with some Seattle friends (Stephen Seo, Gersy Bustamante and others) I met during last October's Atlantis Mexican Cruise. So, if you're up there as well and you see us, be sure to say "Hi!"

Be careful out there

But whatever you do and wherever you go, be sure not to drink and drive. The police will no doubt be patrolling out in force Saturday night, so I'd advise everyone who plans on imbibing a bit to formulate a cabs and/or walking strategy to fulfill your travel needs that night . . . minimize your driving exposure if at all possible.
