Jim Winsor’s Out & About: "Real Housewife" Adriana De Moura to be crowned Queen of White Party 2013

WPPS promoter Jeffrey Sanker announced some interesting staffing decisions this week.

"The Real Housewives Of Miami" star Adriana De Moura will be crowned Queen of White Party 2013, "The Amazing Race" runner-up and Chippendales star Jaymes Vaughan will be anointed Official 2013 Ambassador. And the title of Dame of White Party 2013 will be bestowed upon that turbaned temptress of countless classic TV shows, from "Laugh-In" to "Hollywood Squares" – the sassy diva puppet Madame.

All three will host and provide color commentary for the White Carpet VIP arrivals at White Party 2013 on Saturday night, March 30, at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

“In keeping with our love affair with Bravo’s Real Housewives, we are thrilled to have Adriana De Moura as our 2013 Queen of White Party,” Sanker said. During the weekend, De Moura will perform an extravagantly produced sexy samba version of her song, “Feel the Rush,” the theme from season two of "The Real Housewives Of Miami."

“We are also very excited to have incredibly talented Jaymes Vaughan serving as our first-ever official White Party Ambassador,” Sanker said. Vaughan is the runner-up in the hit CBS series "The Amazing Race." He is also known worldwide as an out and proud member of the Chippendales at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

As for Sanker’s view of Madame: “I can’t wait to bestow unto her the title of ‘Dame!’” Since this will most likely be the first in history a puppet has co-hosted a major circuit party, it should be interesting, to say the least.

Christmas shows at Urban Mo’s

There’s more Christmas themed parties coming up this week.

This Friday, Dec. 14, the popular Babette Schwartz is invading Urban Mo's for the first of a special two-night engagement.

Babette is celebrating the HO-lidays at Mo's in her show, A Very Babette Christmas! Spread the cheer - not your legs - at this very festive HO-liday engagement!

A pre-party will be held each night starting at 7pm, with the show starting promptly at 8pm. And if you miss this one, not to worry, a second show will held the following Friday, Dec. 21.

Then on Wednesday, Dec. 19, SDPIX and Urban Mo's will be teaming up to bring you the annual Dreamgirls Christmas Revue.

Since this is a very, merry special event celebrating the Dreamgirls six-year anniversary, there will be a mixer held with the girls at 7 pm, with light Hors D'ooeuvres and a champagne toast. The show kicks off at 8 pm.

Naughty Santa at Bourbon Street

On Saturday, Dec. 15, SDPIX presents the Naughty Santa party at Bourbon Street.

This fabulous holiday party will include drink specials, music by DJ Sylas, Sexy Santa Elves, and no cover all night long. Customers who bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Being Alive will receive $5 in Bourbon Bucks at the door.

SDPIX staff will be on hand throughout the night to give out free SDPIX VIP Memberships.

And those who arrive early at 8 pm will have an opportunity to catch dinner and a show with San Diego's hardest working "Ho Ho Ho's," the Dreamgirls!

Double Dose at Spin/Mo’s

If you’re a fan (as I am) of that DJ duo the Perry Twins, well good news! You’ll get two chances (ie, a Double Dose) to hear the pair spin this weekend, courtesy of promoter Michael Mack.

The first opportunity will be this Saturday night, Dec. 15. at Spin Nightclub, from 10 pm to until after hours at 4 am. Cover is only $12, or $8 before 11 pm if you show your Michael Mack App or Text. Also spinning will be DJ Taj opening in the Main Room, and DJ Lil Chris in the Hip Hop Room.

Then on Sunday, Dec. 16, they’ll be back for a second dose at Urban Mo’s from 2pm to 8pm. And while you’re there, be sure to give your best wishes (and free shots) to Josh Ramirez, who’ll be there celebrating his eighth annual 21st birthday!
