Jim Winsor's Out & About: $1,000 WET Finals at Bourbon Street tonight

Join SDPIX and Tori Heart tonight (Thursday) for the finals of WET at Bourbon Street. Yes you heard right, the finals!

Tonight only the best of the best will compete for their share of over $1000 in cash & prizes, with a whopping 1st prize of $500 in cash.

The night will also offer half priced Smirnoff cocktails all night long plus dancing and $1 shot specials after the show.

Active Duty at Rich’s

This Saturday night, SDPIX will present its quarterly Active Duty: The Military Party at Rich’s.

As at past Active Duty parties, military and camo attire is highly encouraged (see photos of past event HERE for examples of what to expect). The night will feature hot military go-go boys, free dog tags for the first 500 people through the door, music by DJ Taj, and free body painting to accessorize your fierce warrior look.

A valid military ID gets you in free before 11 pm, or $5 off cover afterwards. SDPIX VIP memberships will get $5 off cover and front-of-line privileges before 11 pm. If you don’t have a VIP membership, no worries … just text SDPIX to 313131 and show the welcome message to the cashier to receive $5 off cover before 11 pm.

Big weekend at Numbers

There are a couple of notable parties coming up at Numbers this weekend:

The first one is the annual Dragonball Z Party this Friday night. Brought to you by Ned Cato, Jr., hosted by Manntar and with a music and laser show by DJ Marcel, this promises to be quite a night. There’s free cover for those is Dragonball cosplay from 10-11 pm, and a cosplay contest at 12:30 am, with prizes including a set of Dragonball and Seiyan scouters.

The second is the Sick Ass House event on Saturday night, organized by Shaun Flak. This one features DJ Drenik spinning some … you guessed it … sick ass house, plus a hosted Svedka Vodka bar from 9-10 pm, $3 shots and $5 drink specials all night, and some hot themed go go dancers. This is also an AIDS Walk fundraiser, with $5 donated per customer to various teams.

2nd Annual Light up the Night bonfire in Ocean Beach

On Sunday, Eddie Reynoso, Ryan Habrel and Erica Flores will once again be hosting an LGBT evening bonfire and sunset picnic at the beach. This year’s event will be at Ocean Beach, just south of Dog Beach, and gets going at about 5:45 pm, with sunset scheduled for 6:35 pm.
