The big event of the week here in the gayborhood will be the third annual Hillcrest Hoedown, from noon until 10 pm, on University Avenue between Normal Street and Vermont Avenue. This street festival has been getting better and better each year.
“The Hoedown once again will feature a grand stage with a country themed line up all day long, with line dancing lessons and a special performance by the Urban Kickers. You can bet in a hosted 21+ Street Side Saloon with a huge country style dance floor.
"This event is friendly for all ages. Resting spots will be available for those who wish to cop a squat on a hay bale by the dance floor and watch all the action! Once your cowboy boots start to feel too broken in, we hope you will be able to take a stroll to the Furry Foster Humane Petting Zoo and ‘ooh and ah’ at all the rescue cuties. Furry Foster joined the Hoedown last year for an adoption event you didn’t want to miss and we are happy to have them back again this year!”

Last week’s events
Check out SDPIX.com for all the new albums from Gay Days Anaheim; I was up there last weekend with Sean Patrick Hitt and Nicholas Larson, and we had an absolute blast. Plus there are excellent photos taken by Isaiah Walter from Rich’s 22nd Anniversary Party last Saturday, featuring Jesse McCartney. Enjoy!
