(Editor's note: "Tantrums and Tiaras: Battle of the Bar Queens 2016" returns on Sunday, Feb. 21 at Observatory North Park. The show is an over-the-top drag competition where representatives from some of the community’s bars with little or no drag experience compete for the crown. The event benefits the programs of The San Diego LGBT Community Center. Leading up to the event, we will profile the five contestants, but you'll have to buy tickets and go the show to find out their drag name and see them in full make-up! More information and tickets can be purchased HERE. View the other contestants we've profiled this year HERE.)
Contestant Name: Spencer Luster
Bar Representing: Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage
First time in drag?
Tell us a bit more about yourself.
I'm from Georgia. Moving to San Diego is the first time I've ever been away from home. I've been here a little over a year and it's been such a beautiful experience.
What are you most excited about?
Seeing the audience's reaction to all of the shenanigans we have planned!
What makes you most nervous about competing?
Every queen's worst fear: Falling on stage in these damn heels!!!
Why are YOU going to win Tantrums & Tiaras?
I'm going to win T&T because everyone knows that if you upset a “Diva” she'll probably burn things down.
I hope you all enjoy the show! The team has put so much work behind it and The Center and Mo’s Universe couldn't be more excited! We can't wait to twirl for y'all!
