Social video giant Snapchat takes followers into the plastic surgery room.

The media app is starting to appear in surgery theaters, giving subscribers with strong stomachs an inside look at what goes on during invasive procedures.

Plastic surgeons are gaining followers like crazy as they give full access to what was only available to those armed with scrubs, scalpels and sutures.

Dr. Matthew Shulman (@nycplasticsurg) is one of those doctors who doesn’t mind showcasing his work on the app. His Snapchat account was named one of the “17 New Usernames to Follow” by the International Business Times.

Although Dr. Shulman is proficient in many aspects of plastic surgery, perhaps he is best known for his buttock contouring and non-surgical renovation of face and body.

Another plastic surgeon, this one from Miami also allows online viewers into his theater. Dr. Michael Salzhauer, also known as Dr. Miami, shares his procedures live through the app.

For those of you who are not squeamish at the sight of blood, you can follow Dr. Shulman or Dr. Michael Salzhauer on Snapchat by subscribing to their usernames @nycplasticsurg or @therealdrmiami respectively.
