A proven favorite returns to Logo as well as a Lance Bass hosted dating show and a trip to Fire Island
This news is in tandem with the announcement of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race premiering on August 25.
Two other shows will also make it to the network line-up, reality docu-series “Fire Island,” and dating competition series “Finding Prince Charming,” featuring host Lance Bass.
The former is being produced by Kelly Ripa (Live with Kelly) and her husband Mark Consuelos (All My Children) set to premiere in 2017.
Fire Island takes young men and women from their hectic lifestyles of the big city to connect and relax amid the serene atmosphere of “The Pines.”
“‘Fire Island’ is an exciting new addition to Logo’s slate and perfectly complements the stories our audience craves,” said Pamela Post, SVP of Original Programing for Logo. “We’re thrilled to give it a home alongside yet another incredible season of intense competition on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race.’”
“Finding Prince Charming” brings modern dating to a whole new level as host Lance Bass takes 13 contestants through a whirlwind of contemporary situations, eliminating them until a final match is made.
The show is currently in production and will premiere this fall.
Season nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race follows on the heels of the highest rated year the series has ever seen, including the highest watched premiere episode.
This new season promises to take the success of season eight and ratchet up the entertainment.
“Season nine of ‘RuPaul's Drag Race’ will be bigger, better and more twisted than ever,” said RuPaul. “Thank you Logo for continuing to provide a powerful platform for these brave, gorgeous and creative souls to tell their stories. They represent the hopes and dreams of all the outsiders around the world.”
