This event is a special thank you to people in the community says Randy Wagener.
Uptown Tavern is getting ready to go tropical as they celebrate four years of their popular themed event called the “Luau Party.”
General Manager of Uptown Tavern, Randy Wagener says that the “Luau Party” has been a fun summer tradition that has grown over the past few years, and at this year’s event they will have a very special guest.
“This year’s headliner with Ginger Minj should be an amazing good time brought to us by Bryant Jones,” he said.
Uptown Tavern has always had one mission in mind from the day they opened their doors; being involved with the community in any way, shape or form says Wagener.
“We have supported dozens of local charities, sports teams, and community events to be more than just an eatery tavern in Hillcrest."
The Luau Party will be a reunion of all the people who make that mission happen and is a way for the restaurant to say thank you by throwing an awesome celebration.
Some of the things you can expect at the luau will be $3 “u-call its” for liquor, beer and wine.
Wagener says there will also be plenty to eat, “For food we will have complimentary tray passed apps, dessert bar.”
Along with the SDPIX Photobooth, Gogo dancers, and a performance by Ginger Minj, there will also be a top-notch local DJ who will keep the music playing throughout the afternoon.
Wagener suggests that attendees wear tropical themed attire, adding, “sunscreen is highly recommended.”
The "Four Year Anniversary Luau Party" is on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Uptown Tavern.
