The popular social app has created a clothing collection called "Grindr Varsity."
The popular hook-up app Grindr is taking their brand into the fashion world.
On Friday the company announced a collection they are calling “Grindr Varsity.”
The clothing is for the athletic male and is primarily made up of shorts and tanks, offering a small selection of jackets and accessories.
According to the Huffington Post, the collection is a way to connect the queer experience with that of the sporting world.
Printing design studio Print All Over Me collaborated with Grindr to come up with the unique prints and patterns.
All proceeds from the Varsity line will be donated to Athlete Ally’s Principal 6, an organization that helps combat homophobia and transphobia in sports.
Creative Director of Grindr, Landis Smithers, said in a statement that the company is looking for ways to combine things people enjoy while helping the LGBT community globally.
“The collection feels sexy, cheeky, fun, but in the end, all profits are going to an amazing group that helps athletes with the issues the gay community faces all around the world," he said. "It felt like a different way to approach sports, and every partner in the mix has been amazing.”
Grindr was founded in 2009 and has an average of over 2 million active users daily.
