Love her or dislike her, Taylor Swift knows how to generate press. Case in point the video for her latest song "You Need to Calm Down" which simultaneously works as a Pride Month anthem and an apology to longtime frenemy Katy Perry. 

The catchy earworm was released last week with the video dropping on Good Morning America this past Monday.

Taylor Swift's new bop tells homophobic trolls to "just stop"

Tylor Swift has given the world a new song which she dropped last night. Called “You Need To Calm Down” the bop has already circulated some buzz for essentially telling anti-LGBT trolls to zip it and get on this side of history. 

“Sunshine on the street at the parade,” the song goes. “But you would rather be in the dark ages / Makin’ that sign must’ve taken all night.”
