Hi San Diego, this your San Diego/Hillcrest Socialite Jinx Mirage and I can't wait to tell you about all the fun I had last weekend.

But before I do that, let's kick this column off with a few events I think you should tag along with me on this weekend.

And don't forget, Pride 2017 is quickly approaching and the Lafayette Hotel is hosting some of the best parties and events for their "Stay and Play" weekend; book your hotel rooms and get your tickets while they last

Brad Loekie and Julie Goldman in Gaylarious

This Thursday (tonight), June 22, check out Brad Loekie and Julie Goldman in Gaylarious at Martinis Above Fourth.

You will know these comedians from hit Logo shows like "Logo's Big Gay Sketch Show, Skit Happens, Gayest Week Ever and Bianca Del Rio's Comedy Cabaret" This is the perfect show for anyone looking for a night of witty, irreverent and  society-skewering comic genius, make sure you get your tickets before they sell out.

DIVAS at Rich's

Calling all admirers of fierce drag. On Friday, June 23, Diva's at Rich's Nightclub will be featuring Cynthia Lee Fountaine from RPDR Seasons eight and nine and the OG herself Ongina from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 1.

Between the elegant pageant style of Cynthia and the high fashion fierceness of Ongina this should be a show you don't wanna miss.

The night will also be graced by our own local girls Landa Plenty, Lolita Von Tease and Rich's Door Host Kickxy Vixen.

Annual Miss Ruck 'N' Tuck for San Diego Armada

It's that time of year again, The Second Annual Miss Ruck 'N' Tuck at Rich's is in full swing this Saturday, June 24.

And there will be 5 new players this year taking off their cleats and strapping on some heels.

San Diego Armada is raising funds to get the team to the World Cup (aka Bingham Cup) in Amsterdam June 2018. $7 cover and doors open at 7 pm, come out for a great cause and see if these manly men can make fierce queens.

Uptown for Marriage Equality Act Anniversary

Sunday, June 25, join Uptown for Marriage Equality Act Anniversary from 2 pm to 6 pm.

It's been two years since The Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor of marriage equality.

Uptown Tavern will be holding a giant reception party in honor of last year's weddings and the Marriage Equality Act.

Come out for tasty cupcakes and delicious cocktails as we celebrate in Hillcrest as only we know how.

Now here is a little recap of some of the events I attended last week:

What can I say about Trixie Mattel "Ages 3+ Up"?  Absolutely hilarious.

If you every get a chance to see her new stand-up comedy show, make sure you do. But this show is not for the fate of heart, Trixie pulled no punches as she told her life stories and interactions with other Drag Race girls in this hit comedy show.

And her parody of the of the popular "A Chorus Line" song " Dance Ten, Looks Three" was a gut-buster. "Drag Ten, Butch Three" had the audience in tears over her exhilarating performance.

With Trixie's live singing and tap dancing, you can bet she will be traveling the world with this 5-star show, unlike any others.

Unlocked: An Interactive Youth Art Exhibition at the Center

Friday evening I was so excited to attend Unlocked: An Interactive Youth Art Exhibition at the Center.

The show was put on by Urban Beats, Urban Beats is an innovative artistic expression program for Transitional Age Youth (TAY).

Through creating and delivering artistic productions and TAY-focused social media messaging.

Urban Beats utilizes strengths identification and artistic self-expression to fight the stigma related to mental illness and promote youth self-empowerment and improve wellness.

Each artist presented an exhibit with visuals and audio to express their emotions.

The exhibition also had interacting exhibits got a paint stones and make key charms with stones and lost keys.

If was definitely interesting looking thru the eyes of another and I look forward to more art shows at the Center.

Well, that's it for me this week, below you'll find a list of other events I think you guys might like.
