HBO's "Last Week Tonight" writes their own take on the second family's house bunny.
For those who may have missed it, Vice President Mike Pence’s daughter released a children’s book this week about his family’s pet bunny, it’s called Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of the Vice President.
The book chronicles the life of the Pence family pet, now a celebrity who has been to White House events, flown on Air Force 2 and even has a popular Instagram account.
But it’s HBO’s John Oliver who is getting most of the press after he and his show “Last Week Tonight” released a parody version of Pence’s book called A Day In the Life Of Marlon Bundo which is currently topping the Amazon kid’s book charts.
The twist in this version, written by Jill Twiss is that the Pence family pet is actually gay.
The book illustrated by EG Keller is number one, also reaching #2 on the Kindle chart. Pence’s is #3 on the kid’s literature chart.
Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory along with other celebrities lend their voices to the audio edition.
Oliver introduced his book Sunday night after a package detailing Pence’s unkind history with the LGBT community.
