The comedian was in Oceanside for a special comedy event.
Actor Will Ferrell was involved in a violent car accident on Thursday night, he was leaving a San Diego event according to TMZ.
Ferrell, known for playing the local fictional news anchor Ron Burgundy whose catchphrase is “Keep it classy San Diego,” was headed home on I-5.
The crash occurred near Chapman Avenue in Orange County at about 11 pm when his chauffeur-driven SUV was broadsided and subsequently rolled over. Two others were injured in the accident as well.

The Saturday Night Live alumnus was in Oceanside for a "Funny or Die" event in which he recreated his Anchorman persona Ron Burgundy. The event called “Vote Classy, San Diego,” was a live discussion about the upcoming primary in California’s 49th Congressional District
Deadline reports the funnyman was released from the hospital and seems to be doing fine.
