This past summer, Ellen DeGeneres returned to the stand-up circuit for a mini-tour, one stop was right here in San Diego.

Now she's coming to Netflix in December for a special called Relatable, her first for the streaming service giant.

Along with being an award-winning daytime talk show host Ellen also broke ground in the entertainment industry when she came out publicly during her self-titled hit sitcom in 1997. That episode earned her a Peabody Award.

In the past 17 years, her titular talk show has taken home 59 Daytime Emmys and many other accolades including numerous Teen Choice Awards.

You might find that the comedienne will code switch from her daytime persona to her edgier stand up one in this show that premieres on Netflix on December 18.

Filmed at Seattle's Benaroya Hall, Relatable allows a new generation of people to see her in a different light while letting those who have followed her career from the beginning witness a return to her comedic roots after more than a decade.
