If you are old enough to have lived through the 80s, you may remember how sexually provocative they were in all forms of entertainment.

It was the decade that saw Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider go before the Senate in opposition to music censorship. A Hearing which ultimately resulted in what we now know as the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" sticker.

But there was also another person pushing the envelope in the media, and her name is Dr. Ruth Westheimer. She was the first to become a celebrity in the field of frank mainstream sex talk and she not only led the way to educate people on birth control but also informed the public on the facts about HIV/AIDS when everyone else was in a panic.

In the Hulu Original documentary "Ask Dr. Ruth," the focus is not only on Westheimer's career as a groundbreaking media celebrity but her life as a Holocaust survivor and single mother.

Her thick German accent and small stature set her apart from others and America embraced the now 90-year-old host as their go-to sexual advice expert.

Dr. Ruth is still going strong and this new film will shed even more light on her incredible story.
