This could mean Oscar gold for the 29-year-old actor.
With Rami Maleck getting accolades for portraying Freddie Mercury in the biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" last year, Taron Egerton may well be on his way to Oscar gold himself in 2020 with his portrayal of Elton John in "Rocketman."
In newly released clip about the film, Egerton explains that his performance is a "heartfelt interpretation of his (Elton's) life and his music."
According to the film's music producer, Giles Martin, Elton himself has said he's never heard his music sound better.

"Rocketman" also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.
The movie opens on May 31, 2019.
