Luke Perry, the star of teen television soap Beverly Hills 90210 has died at 52-years-old.

The star had suffered a massive stroke last Wednesday, something of which he could not recover.

His rep Arnold Robinson confirmed the news with The Hollywood Reporter.

"He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends," said Robinson. "The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time."

Perry was at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank when he passed.

Although Perry had an impressive film career, his role as Dylan McKay on 90210 (2000) will always be his claim to fame.

His bad-boy charm and good looks made him a household name and the boyfriend every teenage girl wanted.

For the past three years, the star has played Fred Andrews on Riverdale, a genre-bender that incorporates dark elements into the world of characters based on the Archie comics.

Even more recently, he was under the lens of Quentin Tarantino in his upcoming crime drama, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Beverly Hills 90210 is getting a reboot this year, but that is a project of which Perry was not involved. But Perry said that Dylan will always be a part of him.

"I'm going to be linked with him until I die, but that's actually just fine," he said. "I created Dylan McKay. He's mine."
