The star has reportedly told them to stop using his name.
In what is becoming a viral internet joke, the Boston men behind a proposed straight pride parade have adopted Brad Pitt as their mascot willy-nilly.
The group's website posted a congratulatory note to the "World War Z" star thanking him for being "the face of this important civil rights movement."
But Pitt is not having it according to TMZ. Sources have told the publication that he has reached out to the Straight Pride Parade organizers demanding that they stop associating his name with their event.
The Straight Pride group has said they plan on having their parade in August to "celebrate the diverse history, culture, and contributions of the straight community."
TMZ says that if the group doesn't stop making reference to the star "further action could be taken."
Another Hollywood star made his opinion known about the proposed parade. Captain America himself Chris Evans wrote on Twitter:
"Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of ‘Straight Pride’ parade, how about this: The ‘desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children’ parade? Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??
