In what is arguably Netflix’s crown jewel, Orange is the New Black is taking its final bow this year with its seventh and final season.

The series has garnered many accolades since its premiere in 2013. In total, the show has been nominated for 16 Emmy Awards with four wins.
The series is also groundbreaking in its depiction of trans life behind bars.
Laverne Cox who plays Sophia Burset on the show became the first openly transgender person to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in any acting category.
The seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black premieres on Netflix on July 26, 2019.
