He documented his journey on social media to update all his fans and followers.
Smooth jazz singer and 80's pop icon Sade got a special shout out from her son Izaak Theo Adu on social media yesterday as he announced to his followers he would be headed home after recovering from transition surgery.
"It’s been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home," he wrote. "Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens."
In 2016 Izaak came out as trans and has been updating his journey through social media almost every step of the way, even through the tough times.
“This process is trying, tiring, painful, emotionally exhausting, physically exhausting, uncomfortable," he wrote in July. “I often ask myself: ‘Why the f**k do I have to endure this to be who I am?’ But at the end of the day this is the path that was laid out for me and I’ll walk it to the end.”
Izaak's physical transition journey started back in 2017 when he announced his top surgery, again on Instagram.
His parents have been supportive every step of the way he says, and a form of inspiration.
“Big up to my Mumma, Pappa, family and friends for all the support you give me on the daily, it’ll never be forgotten," he wrote back in July.
