There's nothing like discovering a new favorite place to eat in San Diego and the biannual San Diego Restaurant Week (SDRW) which returns for its 16th year is a great place to find it. For eight days you and your friends and family can join the thousands of new and seasoned foodies who participate in this event every time it happens.
San Diego is becoming a gourmet destination and during SDRW, from January 19 through January 26, you can taste offerings made by all the talented people who make hospitality their number-one priority. Explore America's Finest City's culinary landmarks and indulge in this delicious event.
Nearly two hundred restaurants across San Diego will offer either 2-course lunch menus or 3-course fixed-price dinners or participate in the returning “Restaurant Week Your Way” feature.
Either way, it's a wonderful time to bring everyone together for a tasty urban and fine dining adventure while introducing them to the best California-based cuisines.
This event has become a tradition in the community not only because of the delicious food and drinks, but sharing life's most satisfying moments too.
In those moments you can create warm memories with loved ones that will keep you smiling for a lifetime.
Don’t just eat and drink like any other week—indulge until your heart’s content with everything San Diego has to offer.
This year SDRW is giving restaurants the ability to tailor their menus and price points to highlight their specialties and allow more members to participate.
Hopefully, this “Restaurant Week Your Way” structure will encourage you to dine out more than once – whether it’s drinks and shared plates, or a ‘3-course dinner’ date night later in the week.
You have the option to do “3 items” instead of “3 courses.”
Menu items can include drinks, appetizers, shared plates, entrees or desserts
- Dinner: Glass of Wine, Entrée, Dessert
- Dinner: Appetizer, Entree, Dessert
- Dinner: 2 Glasses of Wine, Shared plate
- Lunch: Coffee & Donut
- Lunch: Appetizer & Entrée
Of course, there are still the three-course prix-fixe dinner menus which range in price from $20, $30, $40, $50 or $60 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus are $10, $15, $20 or $25 per person.
Tickets are not necessary for this delectable week of discounted dining, but advance reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling restaurants directly or visiting their profile online.
San Diego Restaurant Week is from January 19 to January 26 at participating San Diego locations.
