Eminem Has Had A Bigger Impact On Hip-Hop Than Jay-Z: Says 50 Cents
50 Cent reacts to Jamal Crawford’s statement that he made while appearing on Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast. The rapper, actor, and entrepreneur has come forward to oppose the statement made by the player against his long-term friend Eminem.
On Friday, 12 January 2023, while making a debut on The Big Podcast, Jamal Crawford, an American former professional basketball player, made a statement that fumed the American rapper.
In the show hosted by Shaquille O’Neal, Crawford was discussing the top five NBA players and how as a player he values dominance over statistics while he was ranking them. But the host eventually disagrees with this which later resulted in a debate between the former players.
As the discussion got more assertive on the basketball analogy, the 42-year-old player made a statement on how Jay-Z had more impact on hip-hop rather than the record sales of albums by Eminem.
This Statement Made Controversies
In the video, people can listen to Crawford comparing the ranking strategy of the NBA players to that of the rappers as an example to explain the situation well. Although his statement helped him shut down his opponent, it has resulted in other controversies as the rapper came forward to talk for Eminem.
Crawford said, “My five, the supremacy overpowers the number. You can’t change the game and say this person has more points than me, he’s better. It’s beyond that. Jay-Z’s effect on hip-hop is greater than any album sales Eminem will have. That’s just how it goes.”
After the video of the podcast went viral on social media platforms, the 47-year-old American rapper came forward calling the statement ‘bullshit’ along with a sneezing emoji.
50 Cent and Eminem were good friends for more than two decades and still today the relationship remains the same. Eminem and Jay-Z are successful rappers who won many accolades for their hard work. While Eminem is regarded as the No. 1 most-certified artist in the history of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Jay-Z has the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.
The video was shared through The Hip-Hop Wolf Instagram page under which the rapper commended with Sneezing Face emoji.
After the comment, the post was taken over by fans of both artists. Some fans used the platform to pull out the 53-year-old rapper’s net worth and compare that with Eminem.
