Who Is God Goku? Kakarot’s Super Saiyan God Goku Explained
The mysteries surrounding the season pass for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is being revealed one piece at a time, but the most recent information regarding the downloadable content for Dragon Ball Super is, to put it gently, stunning.
The Super Saiyan God versions of Goku and Vegeta will be included in the downloadable content, and unlocking them will require training with Whis.
It is unknown in what manner the Super Saiyan God versions of Goku and Vegeta will be playable. Screenshots of Goku in his Super Saiyan God form were recently leaked by two reputable Dragon Ball reporters named Ken Xyro and Dragon Ball Hype.

Despite the fact that he is seen in the screenshots fighting Beerus and even Raditz while in this form, there are a lot of unanswered questions regarding this form and how it will function in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
In particular, there are a lot of unanswered questions regarding how this form will work. It seems that a different tactic is being used here than in the anime and manga, in which Goku initially achieves this form after completing a ritual that involves a large number of other Saiyans and utilizes it to compete with Beerus. This appears to be a different strategy being followed here.
What Is Super Saiyan God?
Characters in Dragon Ball Z are constantly transforming into new forms, from the evildoers who go through a series of transformations to the Saiyans who go through a broad variety of incarnations as they grow stronger.
An indelible image was left in everyone’s mind when Goku and Frieza, who had been engaged in a fierce battle on the dying planet of Namek, saw Super Saiyan for the first time.
Although though the transformation of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan against Cell and the ascent of Super Saiyan 3 Goku to face Majin Buu were two of the most iconic moments in the series, there were other moments that were just as memorable as the story progressed.
On the other hand, the Super Saiyan God that appeared in the comics and the anime existed on a whole different level.
The debut of the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot downloadable content (DLC), which contains the Saiyan form, has sparked the imagination of fans like the voracious appetite of a god with the form of a cat and his celestial counselor.
The Super Saiyan God in Anime and Manga
Goku makes a plea to Shenron to learn the Super Saiyan God ritual, and while Shenron grants this wish, Goku is granted access to a form that, while not sufficient to destroy Beerus, at least evens the playing field.
The only variant of the Super Saiyan that appears to be simple to obtain is the third iteration, and once converted, the user of this form is often relatively calm rather than outraged.
Although Goku possesses the Super Saiyan God form, he does not make use of it very often. The only times we see him transform into this form are when he is fighting Beerus and when he is competing in the Tournament of Power.
Kakarot’s Super Saiyan God Goku
Training with Whis was shown to be the key to unlocking Goku’s God form in the first episode of the original story arc of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. It will be interesting to discover more about how Vegeta initially unlocked the form, but it is unclear why Kakarot chose to change the way Goku unlocked it in the first place.
The primary reason for this is that the happenings of Battle of Gods and Resurrection F will not be adopted in their entirety for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot; rather, they will serve as extra content for that game.
It is currently unknown whether this form will serve primarily as a new playable character or simply as an additional skill in Goku’s existing skill tree.
It should not be possible to use forms against Raditz, however, the screenshot above shows Super Saiyan God Goku doing so, which seems to infer that this is the case because of the time machine.
Even though it has been demonstrated that it is possible to obtain this form before completing the game’s main story, it is also feasible that this is actually a totally new game in which the form was unlocked a very long time ago.
If it is a new transformation added to Goku’s tree, then it will probably follow the same pattern as the others. This is the last point, but it is the most important one.

There are three different tiers of Super Saiyan Forms in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. At level 3, which is the highest level that can be reached, you can receive a stat gain of either 50%, 100%, or 150% respectively.
As a result, it should come as no surprise that Super Saiyan God, at level 3, would confer a boost equivalent to 200 percent. If it is a brand new character, on the other hand, there is a chance that one of their transformation choices will be changed to Super Saiyan Blue instead.
The majority of this is based on assumption, and fans will have to wait until the Super DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is released in the spring in order to find out for certain how this form operates.
Kakarot explores a side of this underappreciated transformation that hasn’t really been touched on in any other form of Dragon Ball media.
Despite the fact that the adjustments made to Goku’s method of reaching the form are fairly bizarre, it’s wonderful to see this facet of the transformation explored.
After the release of the DLC, the Super Saiyan God form will definitely become the center of attention for a great number of players.
