Michael J Fox Disease: The Truth
He initially got diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991, a few years after he wed his wife. During the first stage, he started heaving drinking and got depressed but with the help of family and friends, he got back on his feet and has been sober ever since he quit drinking.
As we all know that there is no cure for Parkinson’s, so the victims are required to be cautious about its symptoms. However, there are several cases where patients improve their conditions over time when they take care of their health properly.
Although that is not the case for Michael J Fox, as he has been struggling more and more with the disease with each day passing by.

Career
Michael J Fox is well-known for his role as Alex P. Keaton in the NBC sitcom Family Ties. He is critically acclaimed for his success in several movies including the Back to the Future Trilogy (1985–1990), Teen Wolf (1985), The Frighteners (1996), and several other movies.
Michael J Fox had many achievements in his illustrious career before retiring. He is a recipient of five Primetime Emmy Awards for three different projects, Family Ties, Spin City, and Rescue Me.
Michael J Fox also received four Golden Globe awards, three of which – he won consecutively for three years. The retired actor bagged several honors including the induction into Canada’s Walk of Fame and several other honorary awards.
However, drifting back to the topic. The 61-year-old former actor revealed how things are getting worse in the panel with Jane Pauley, who listened to his struggles with a heavy heart.
He revealed to Jane that he had spinal surgery due to a fall which affected his body parts to further weaken, including a few problems in walking as well as a broken hand, two broken arms, and a broken bone in the face.
These injuries often take time to heal depending on the condition of the body. As the condition got better, he clarified that the sole objective for him was not to fall down as he improved his walking and balance.
Michael J Fox continued that he had a terrible year with Parkinson but he believes that he is feeling better. Many assume that it is the actor’s optimistic mind that has helped him to keep motivated all these years while challenging the incurable disease.
At the same time, he has earlier revealed how the disease has affected his career by weakening his ability to memorize the lines.

Despite all the struggles the actor has not spent less than a dime of second and energy to help raise more than billions of dollars for research based on Parkinson’s through his foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, since 1991.
He has helped the foundation to discover several initiatives that advance a cure for Parkinson’s in the future.
Recently, the Back to the Future actor received Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the 95th Academy Awards due to his outstanding philanthropic contributions to the effort to find a solution to Parkinson’s.
Michael J Fox Wife, Children
Michael J Fox’s family also plays a pivotal role in stabilizing his condition. His wife, Tracy Pollan, whom she married on July 16, 1988, after having met at the sets of Family Ties.
The couple welcomed four children. They first gave birth to their first child Sam on May 30, 1989.
Secondly, they welcomed their twin daughters, Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances on February 15, 1995, and their last daughter they have given birth to is, Esme Anebelle on November 3, 2001.
