SAN DIEGO -- The City of San Diego is seeking input from citizens on where to locate bikesharing stations throughout the city, just over a month after leaders voted to begin a partnership with DecoBike.
The City and DecoBike are moving forward implementing bikesharing by spring 2014. One of the first components of the project is to accept public input on potential bike station locations. A website went live on Friday, Aug. 16, and the public has 60 days to provide input on suggested locations.
City Council President Todd Gloria was joined by Councilmembers Kevin Faulconer and David Alvarez, along with representatives from Move San Diego and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition at an event today to kick-off the public participation period.
