"San Diego Speaks" series has town hall format
(SAN DIEGO) - In recognition of the City’s budget deficit of over $180 million, San Diego City Councilman Tony Young has called for the public to come before the Budget and Finance Committee tonight at San Diego Speaks, a community meeting with a town hall type format.
Young is Chairman of the city's Budget and Finance Committee, and at the meeting, he wants the public to tell the committee what city services are a priority, what ideas they have for cost savings in city services, what city services they could possibly do with less of, and what city services they may be willing to pay for.
The final in a series of community meetings, San Diego Speaks is designed to hear suggestions and recommendations from the public to help address this budget deficit.
The next meeting will take place today, Tuesday, December 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center, 404 Euclid Avenue, San Diego, 92114. For more information click here:
