SAN DIEGO -- In honor of Women’s History Month, lesbian feminist and lifelong activist Gloria Johnson will be featured at the latest installment of "Coffee and Conversation with Cool Women" tomorrow night.
Johnson was named 2009 Person of the Year by the Gay and Lesbian Times for her 40 years of work in the LGBT community.
She is also the public relations chair person of the San Diego Democratic Club board, co-president of the San Diego County chapter of National Organization for Women (NOW) and vice president-action of the California chapter of NOW.
The event will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Center, 3909 Centre St.
Presented by the Women’s Resource Center, this free monthly event features “Oprah-style” interviews by Tryce Czyczynska with significant women in the LGBT community.
The event is free and open to both men and women.
