KPBS is streaming a history of Hillcrest doc from 2002

"Searching for San Diego Hillcrest" streaming now on KPBS.

Seventeen years ago, a documentary called "Searching for San Diego Hillcrest"  aired on KPBS which focused on the unique and eclectic character of this historic San Diego neighborhood. While a lot has changed since then, there are still some things that remain the same.

Another dockless service comes to San Diego

New dockless e-bikes land in San Diego.

San Diego appears to be the city in which to launch dockless transportation e-services. Another such company, Wheels, dropped off 100 of their bikes in the Gaslamp last month and that number has recently grown to 500 after a successful test run.

It what might be the most polarizing event open to interpretation of 2019; a stand-off between a Catholic high schooler in a MAGA hat and a Native American man that took place on the Lincoln Memorial steps continues to divide opinions. But at least for the student, he got to tell his side on the Today show this past Wednesday. 

Shopper takes home big prize for "Hillcrest for the Holidays"

She took home the grand prize just for shopping locally during the holidays.

One lucky person who shopped locally for the holidays received some extra cheer in the form of a grand prize after she entered the annual Shop Hillcrest for the Holidays. 

Every year shoppers take advantage of Hillcrest's unique shops and restaurants and while doing so enter to win a shopping spree.
