Every year San Diego Pride gets A-list talent to headline at the music festival. This year is no different as Melissa Etheridge is taking the stage to help celebrate Pride with America's Finest City. 

The iconic Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer-songwriter will headline and close out the 2019 Pride Festival on Sunday, July 14. 

Normal Street Promenade project approved, can finally move forward

Normal Street Promenade in Hillcrest approved by Uptown Planners.

Even though SANDAG and The City of San Diego had already approved the Normal Street Promenade in Hillcrest, the project's future was still up in the air due to concerns from local business owners and residents as late as this week. 

Those cares were addressed at a bustling Uptown Planners meeting on Tuesday where they voted to move ahead with the plan.

Methodist church could officially sever ties with LGBT community

United Methodist Church votes down LGBT inclusion in preliminary vote.

United Methodist Church leaders are currently at odds with each other over whether or not to keep tacit support of the LGBT community intact or abandon it altogether. The latter seems to be the path they want to take according to a preliminary vote put forth by over 800 delegates at an international conference in St. Louis on Monday.
