Woman in nail spa goes on nasty rant against gay man

Seattle nail salon is the site of a woman who goes on a homophobic tirade.

Christopher Brown just wanted to get a pedicure at his favorite salon in Lynnwood, Washington, but he got more than he bargained for when a female customer went on a homophobic rant because he asked her to take her phone off speaker. 

No more Styrofoam in San Diego

San Diego will no longer use styrofoam containers.

San Diego will no longer allow the use of polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) within the city limits beginning in 30 days. The City Council approved the ban 6-3 on Tuesday. 

Church sign causes stir in small CA community

A Northern California church is getting some attention for having displayed a transphobic message on its lawn marquee this week.

The Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Weed, CA., posted the living meme which reads: "Bruce Jenner is still a man. Homosexuality is still a sin. The culture may change. The Bible does not."

New scooter laws go into effect on Jan. 1.

There is no shortage of electric scooter options in San Diego, and on January 1 riders have a new set of rules they must follow or face getting a ticket. 

Users who are under the age of 18 are now required to wear helmets. Those 18 and over do not need to wear them.

Governor Jerry Brown signed the new law, AB 2989, which went into effect on Tuesday.
