Supreme Court makes no rulings today on Prop 8 and DOMA

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Supreme Court today did not hand down any rulings involving California’s Proposition 8 or the Defense of Marriage Act.

The window of time to release any decisions during this session of the high court is winding down. The only other two announced dates are Monday, June 24, or Thursday, June 27, but the Supreme Court can always add dates anytime through Friday, June 28.

Day of decision events scheduled nationwide

NOTE: A big shout-out to Marriage Equality USA for the following list of events. All of these events will take place on the day the United States Supreme Court releases its rulings on the United States v. Windsor (DOMA) and Hollingsworth v. Perry (Prop 8) cases. As of now, the next possible date is Monday, June 24. The Court has the option of adding Thursday, June 27 as a day to hand down rulings and, if they so decide, will announce that on June 24. The Court also has the option of extending their current session, in which case there would be additional possible Decision Days.

San Diego supporters of marriage equality will rally at The Center. Stay tuned for more details.
