SAN DIEGO – Caryl Iseman, a well-known real estate agent in San Diego, is the 17th woman to accuse Mayor Bob Filner of sexual harassment.
During a rally Sunday to kick off the recall campaign, Iseman told Chris Morrow, who was taping a CNN iReport, that Filner groped her breast at a fundraiser 25 years ago.
Iseman said she has called the sheriff’s hotline that was set up to take calls regarding allegations of sexual harassment against Mayor Filner. “I have not come forward yet … but if it’s needed to establish the timeline of how long this guy has been doing this, I will,” she said.
Carol Bentley Ellis, a former California Assemblywoman, told Morrow that she was “very pleased to see somebody as credible as Caryl Iseman come out today and indicate that this has been going ongoing for 25 years when she was first harassed. It’s difficult to come out and tell things like that.”
Iseman is an associate broker at Summit Realty Group in San Diego, according to her profile on LinkedIn. She is a native New Yorker and is a Republican, according to her Facebook page.
On Trulia, Iseman says she has been living in San Diego since 1968. She lists her involvement as a member and an officer with San Diego Association of Realtors, a past president of the East Village Community Action Network, and a former member of the city’s Historic Resource Board.
