A new restaurant had its soft opening this week. Los Angeles eatery Spitz has moved into Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest reports the San Diego Eater . The official grand opening party will be held on Saturday, January 30.
This fun little Mediterranean inspired restaurant is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday.
On the menu are a variety of döner kabobs offered in wraps, sandwiches or salads. Protein choices include beef, chicken or a vegetable option.
There is a full bar with 10 beer taps and a drink list that includes homemade sangria and multiple fresh fruit cocktails.
Happy Hour is every weekday from 4 pm to 7 pm, at which time select drinks and finger foods are $2 off.
Don’t miss the house specialty snack döquitos; Spitz version of the taquito only with a Mediterranean twist.
With murals honoring San Diego legends and celebrities, Spitz gives tribute to America’s Finest City with its eye-popping décor.
Just past the inside dining area patrons can step out onto the 2,000 square foot shaded patio where they can play a variety of lawn games such as cornhole or giant Jenga.
