The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) has made a call to action.

HBA Executive Director Benjamin Nicholls is concerned about SANDAG and its proposal to remove hundreds of parking spaces in Bankers Hill to make room for the Uptown Bike Way, a network of bike lanes that connect to different areas of San Diego.

Nicholls says that SANDAG is relying on “the community” to mitigate the loss, but they can speak up at the Downtown Community Planning meeting on Wednesday, March 16.

Attending the meeting will be SANDAG staff who will address the concerns of the public about the Uptown Bike Plan.

Nicholls will also be attending to represent the community’s concerns and hopes that many people from the neighborhood will also attend to express theirs.

The Downtown Community Planning Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 5:15 pm at the Civic San Diego office located at 401 B Street, Suite 400, San Diego, CA 92101
