Take part in capturing world record for largest lesbian wedding

During the 32nd annual Women’s Week, held in Provincetown, Massachusetts this October, the town is hosting “Bride Pride,” where they are hoping to top the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest lesbian wedding on the planet.

They are inviting women from all over the world to come get married and participate in Bride Pride.

The wedding will be held at Roux Bed and Breakfast and organized by Roux owners Allison Baldwin and Ilene Mitnick. The duo has already applied in advance of the date to Guinness Book of World Records in an effort to capture the title for “World’s Largest Lesbian Wedding.” They plan to make a donation to GLAD in honor of the couples who marry during Bride Pride to thank them for the work they’ve done to secure marriage equality across the U.S.

“If there are at least 100 couples, the brides will become part of recorded history,” Mitnick said in a press release. “Provincetown is filled with stories of love, equality and adventure and it’s meant to be shared with lovers.”

Award-winning political humorist Kate Clinton will be officiating the nuptials and after the ceremony, the entire town will become one big party for the participants as they join in with other activities planned for Women’s Week.

“Nothing says ‘world’s largest lesbian wedding’ like Provincetown and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” Clinton said in the release.

The event will take place Oct. 15, at 11 a.m., at Roux Bed and Breakfast, located at 210 Bradford St., Provincetown, Massachusetts. Advance registration for the epic event is required. For more information or to register to be a part of Bride Pride, click HERE.
