The company announced this week that all stores will close
Sports equipment chain, Sport Chalet, is going out of business, and four of their San Diego stores are readying themselves to shutter within the next several weeks according to their website.
The company says that all 33 stores across Southern California will close.
Online purchasing has already been halted, but those with gift cards have the option to transfer credit to any sister companies such as Eastern Mountain Sports, or Bob’s Stores.
There are currently four stores in San Diego: Mission Valley, Point Loma, University Towne Center and San Marcos.
All locations are offering discounts for unsold stock remaining on the shelves.
Sport Chalet is asking everyone who has items in the store for repair to pick them up by April 29.
The nearly 60-year old chain began in La Canada Flintridge, Calif. and grew to reach other states including Arizona and Nevada.
The company, in a statement, said on their website, “Thank you for your loyalty over the years. We hope to see you at our store closing sales.”
