Blaze in Hillcrest closes roads

Fire fighters battle blaze at 3922 Park Boulevard.

Tuesday morning officials closed roads around a residential area in Hillcrest while they battled a large fire in a building on Park Boulevard.

The fire broke out at about 8 am just a few blocks from the San Diego LGBT Community Center and Hillcrest Pride Flag.

Log Cabin Republicans are on board with Trump 2020.

The Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) released a statement on Friday announcing that they are endorsing Donald J. Trump for president in 2020.

LCR is the nation’s oldest and largest organization of conservative LGBTQ Republicans and their allies. 

Driver delays passengers, refuses to operate bus with Pride colors

Passengers using the Norwich England public transit system were delayed getting to their destinations after their driver refused to operate a bus he felt encouraged homosexuality.  

The driver who has not been named turned off the vehicle's engine mid-route and addressed the riders about his decision, “This bus promotes homosexuality and I refuse to drive it!”

CA Straight Pride organizer says it will go on despite denial by City Council.

The organizer for a Straight Pride festival proposed in Modesto says the event will happen despite the City Council denying the request due to lack of liability insurance. 

Don Grundmann is heading the charge to have the event and says it's not dead even after the Council's decision. 

No Straight Pride for Modesto CA, City Council says

Organizers of a Straight Pride parade in Modesto, CA were denied approval of their event by the City Council this past Friday.

Due to the lack of proof of insurance by coordinators, the council denied their request for safety reasons.

FBI nab Las Vegas man who they say wanted to bomb gays, Jews.

Authorities may have thwarted a plan by 23-year-old Conor Climo to firebomb a Las Vegas synagogue and LGBT bar. 

Climo was arrested this past Wednesday and U.S. Magistrate Judge Nancy Koppe ordered him to remain in federal custody until his court hearing scheduled for August 23.
