Read Councilmember Todd Gloria's letter and plan your morning accordingly.
The annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is one of the largest such events in the City of San Diego and will take place on Sunday, June 5. While the race is a lot of fun, it is known to cause major road and freeway closures throughout the city.
Many people know to just stay home on that morning until the race clears, but for those who can't, it's important to know which roads are impacted.
Councilmember Todd Gloria sent a letter to residents to remind them of the traffic impacts, which is printed below.
The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon will be hosting 30,000 runners through Balboa Park and some of District Three's most vibrant neighborhoods this Sunday. As many of the routes to take participants through San Diego's communities there will be road closures and scheduled impacts including no parking areas.
Please visit the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon website to see road closure map and contact information.
