Reports from across the county say they felt the mild temblor.
San Diegans were slightly shaken this morning as a 4.5 magnitude earthquake tousled a sleeping county.
Surveys mark the center of the quake 11 kilometers north of Cabazon and say it began at 4:49 am.
Cabazon is just over 100 miles north of San Diego and is best known for its giant whimsical dinosaur structures and outlet mall.
An aftershock of 3.2 occurred shortly after in the same region reports the U.S. Geological Survey.
No immediate damage was reported in Cabazon according to ABC 10. Locals reported being slightly shaken from sleep, but nothing serious.
People reported feeling the shaking in downtown San Diego, National City, University City, Mission Beach, Oceanside and Vista.
