Forecasters are expecting two storms to hit the region this week.
San Diego is about to get significantly wet and with all of the recent fires that might mean some serious flooding.
ABC 10 News reports that Cal Fire and the County of San Diego will make free sandbags available to protect homes and property.
It's also important to do an inspection of your property to make sure there are no obstructions to drainage areas.
Rainfall can also expedite erosion in landscaped areas that once had vegetation.
For those who feel they may need free sandbags, check the County Newscenter and call ahead for availability.
County officials also say you should bring a shovel to fill your own bags with sand.
Forecasters are expecting rain to head into San Diego tonight and continue through Thursday with another storm moving in on Saturday.
