Just after 9 pm Sunday night, two men were involved in a verbal argument in the south alley of 2900 El Cajon Blvd in North Park.

According to police, the 27-year-old suspect had his pit bull with him and threatened to release it on the other man.

The suspect followed through with the threat taking off the dog's collar; it then attacked the 50-year-old victim biting him several times.

The victim was transported to the hospital suffering bites to his arm and face.
