Two injured in shooting at Toucan's Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs

Reports are coming out of Palm Springs about a shooting which occurred early Sunday morning at Toucan's Tiki Lounge, a local LGBT bar. 

Police have confirmed the shooting took place at about 1:38 am after a fight broke out inside. 

Staff reportedly began moving people outside the club where the shooting occurred thereafter. 

Two men were struck with gunfire, getting hit in the lower parts of their bodies; the injuries were non-life threatening.

As of this writing, no one has been arrested. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 to 30. He was wearing a black hoodie, black hat and black sweatpants with tattoos on his neck according to local news reports.

Law officials scoured the area but did not find the suspect. They note that there were several witnesses who also fled the scene before officers arrived.

A video posted by journalist Ed Maylon on Twitter shows people inside the club reacting to the shooting.
