Over the weekend Vice President Mike Pence made a trip to Memphis, Tennessee where he gave a few words at the Holy City Church of God in Christ during their Sunday service.

He mentioned Dr. Martin Luther King to commemorate the civil rights leader's birthday and then stepped away from the stage. He was followed by church-founder Bishop Jerry Wayne Taylor who among other things rallied against the LGBT community saying they are under the influence of the devil.

The whole thing was live-streamed on the White House's YouTube channel. Taylor began to make his case against gay marriage at about the 2hr and 43minute mark according to Queerty.

"Two men can’t have a baby. Two women can’t have a baby," Taylor said, adding that young straight men and women should be encouraged to get married.

"It’s a demonic spirit that causes a woman to want to lie with another woman," he claims. "It’s a demonic spirit that causes a man to be attracted to another man."

The sermon continued with Taylor issuing a warning.

“If a man gets attracted to me, he’s gonna be in trouble," he says. "Don’t put your hands on me! Amen. God didn’t make us for that."

He then attacked the trans community: “He made a man to be a man," Taylor said. "If you want to know what God made you, when you go to the bathroom, just check your plumbing. What kind of plumbing are you using?”

Bishop Vincent Mathews Jr. also spoke at the service saying Pence is, "one of the most persecuted Christians in America.”
